John Turturro goes to Apple for his new project! The actor, who will star in Matt Reeves’ movie “The Batman,” has joined the cast of Apple‘s upcoming drama series “Severance“. The previously announced actors joined Adam Scott and Patricia Arquette. “Severance” is defined as a workplace drama about the Lumen Industries Company that wants to take the work-life balance to a new level.
Scott will play Mark, who tries to get himself together and has a dark past. Arquette will play Mark’s boss. Turturro will be cast as Irving, a long-time trusted employee at Lumen Industries.
Apple is considering entering the set in November. Ben Stiller was involved in the project to direct the show. And he reunites with Arquette after “Escape at Dannemora.” Dan Erickson will serve as a writer and executive producer, while Chris Black will serve as executive producer with Ben Stiller, Nicky Weinstock and Jackie Cohn.
Scott and Arquette will serve as producers alongside the lead role. John Turturro ‘s upcoming big screen projects include Guillermo del Toro’s stop-motion animation “Pinocchio”, as well as “The Batman”. On the television front, his recent work includes HBO’s “The Plot Against America,” portraying Rabbi Lionel Bengelsdorf.
